LOL! I will pay you to be here in the Sunset if the sun shine comes with you Have you ever been in the hilly areas of inner sunset? If not, then stop speculating about the weather here. They call Mount Sutro a "Urban Cloud Forest" for good reason!

You know in the past you've always exaggerated about SF's weather. However, I think there may be some truth to your Sutro remarks. Everytime I'm in the city, usually GG Park, I can see a cloud at or near that mountain. I've never lived in the city so I don't know if it's there on a day to day basis.

You should also remember though, you just happen to have moved to SF while it's having it's coolest summer in over 30 years.

Right now its 67 in Walnut Creek where normally it would be fast approaching 90 plus degrees. It would be 67 in San Francisco on a day like today.

Though I must admit Im liking the mild summer weather here in the east bay vs. the usual summer swelter.

I'm not speculating. I was there. I didn't read on the internet or just guess that on July 12th SF State got some sunshine. I actually sat on the campus in the sun. And why are you mentioning Inner Sunset? SF State isn't in Inner Sunset.

Mount Sutro is almost always like that but very few people live there. There are some nice trails there that not many people know about but most of them are muddy throughout the year! GGP is also very foggy but typically you can see sun in the panhandle.

This weather is not unusually cold or foggy for SF. Most long time residents told me that its fairly typical. Maybe rest of the bay area is unseasonally cool!

The SF Chronicle weather prediction is the funniest thing ever. Their 5-day forecast is always the same..First 3 days partly sunny followed by 2 days of sunny.

Weather Current Conditions & Forecasts for the San Francisco Bay Area - SFGate

Its hilarious that prediction will be the exact same the next day. So the 4th day that was predicted to be sunny is now predicted to be cloudy. Keep repeating this non sense everyday and it turns out the prediction for everyday is foggy and that is correct. I dont know why the keep doing this when this place has the most predictable weather on planet!

They also have a fog forecast which I am sure is an animation script written by a naive programmer.

SF Gate: Weather: Fog Forecast: SF Bay Area Side View (http://www.sfgate.com/weather/fog/fogsideclose.shtml - broken link)

According to these morons there is no fog on the coast now but its foggy as hell out there!

Well, it was cloudy/overcast this morning when I left Presido and downtown was no better until around 1230 the sky began to clear up and now it's sunny and warm...but then around 430 when I leave it'll get cloudy/windy/chilly again and in the Presidio probably foggy It might be warm right now, but I doubt it's more than 73 or so at best as I just walked back in the office. You also have to take into account the strong winds blowing around here..

Weather predictions for SF are always wrong, they'll say like 65 when it's 52 out and 70 when it's 85 out.

I like in a really sunny Oakland neighborhood. Summer for me is 70-75 and sunny. The great thing about the By Area, if you hate the weather, drive 10 minutes for something else.
