Well, I don't know if there's more. But there seems to be a large Russian population in Sacramento metro. Frequently saw them about town.

The warm hospitality gives the food an extra kick!
I want to try that Babushka's Kitchen someone mentioned earlier. It sounds great!

I welcome Russians to Bay Area, they're fun people and their culture is similar to mine.
Would like to know where to go to meet some of them.

There have always been nice, single Russian women in the Bay Area. They started out in SF and Berkeley, sometime after WWII. But mostly they married within the community. Now they're probably more open to non-Russians.

The Russian restaurants in WC and SF, and the Russian delis.

Russian speakers are not necessarily Russians. I am not. Anyway, I lived in Brooklyn for a while and learned to generally avoid people from ex-USSR; if you just came from some ex-Soviet Republic, some Russian-speaking presence can make adaptation easier, but still, the earlier you part with this community the better.

One of the "Russian" delis on Geary looked like it was run by people from the Caucasus.

A lot of Russian women seem to work at Macy's or other shops in/around the Broadway plaza in Walnut Creek.
