I understand that apt rents are very high ,so would like to settle down somewhere I get a good community within a range of 2000- 2200 apt. I have done some research and seems that livermore, pleasanton or Dublin would be a better place to stay, I dont mind staying little far as I will have a car. So would like to know overall which place would be better to stay? Pleasanton seems to be a better place in terms of park, public transport(BART) , etc but it is more pricy as well.

Thanks,

Hi Punit, I am familiar with Livermore and have spent time there - I own some property there and have friends in the area. You couldn't go wrong living there, although Pleasanton is really nice as well, and the public transit options are only going to be more convenient if you need to commute to the city frequently. I see a few listings that meet your criteria on Craigslist:

This one is downtown and walkable to food and services: Living in the heart of Livermore never seemed so sweet!

This place is a bit on the outskirts, but easily commutable, just not anything within walking distance.
2 bd/2 bth Livermore Condo in gated Copper Hill Community

This is lab-adjacent...not walkable to all that much except for work.
Managers Special 2x1 Apt. 1799 Today Only !!!!!

You didn't mention if you are affiliated with the lab, but if you are, the first one (The Arbors) has discounts for those employees.

Good luck on your search!

If you have to commute from Livermore to San Jose, I don't know what to tell you. Other than I will pray for you. It is the commute from Hades. 580 is bad and the Sunol grade on 680 is bad too. Your commute would be like 90 minutes one way. On a good day.
