Do the galleries hire seasonally?
And if so roughly when does it begin?
And if you know of one that might match a little about me.
Me: 42yrs. Female, Fine Artist, Private art Instructor.
As I said in another post - I am not really professional looking.
I lean more towards natural outdoorsy.
Judging from the tourist traffic I see around town, the season has started. And from what I hear from my gallery-owner friends, the market has picked up nicely. So my advice: start making those calls. Your "looks" will be less important than your knowledge, passion and ability to connect and sell, but you need to project professional credibility. A flannel shirt, jeans and Vasque boots would attract me, but won't do for our galleries.....
Let the gallery take care of your rent, and our glorious outdoors take care of your soul!

Being that Santa Fe has something like 200 art galleries they are from all extremes. From Fine Art, to Hip, to eclectic ... etc ...etc. I'm sure there will be something that fits in with your style. Good luck.
