I was trying to find the old thread about Oranges, but was too lazy to look very long.

I just wanted to remind you all that the HoneyBell Oranges are available right now, for maybe another week or so. GO GET SOME!

I like to run out to Joshua's near Arcadia (nice ride through the countryside)! I bought to 1/4 bushels yesterday, and have eaten 1/2 of one of them already!

They are awesome!!

They have navel oranges, grapefruit and tangerines in too!

Will there be a nice variety of tasty stuff the first week of February too? We'll be in SW FL during that time and we'd consider making the trek out to Arcadia if yummy fruit abounds.

Any other orchards closer to Sarasota/St. Pete?

Honey Bell oranges are only available for a couple weeks, and we are now into the second week. So, and I'm hoping that they will be available for 2 more weeks, but that may be wishful thinking. All I can say is I will be driving my Yukon up and loading up a bunch next time I go up (which will probably be this week end). They are awesome.

Sorry nphomeowner I just thought of posting about them again after a spur of the moment trip there yesterday. If you like Oranges, they are worth the trip. Let me know what you think. OK

I don't know about other orchards in or near SRQ but Detwiler's Farm Market has them.

Why can't we get FL oranges in the danged markets here ! Arcadia isn't my fave for a "pretty" drive out in the country. More like Deliverance.
