It IS a schlep from sarasota to venice for just a bagel.
Bt I do have a former colleague in Venice, and want to get there to meet him for lunch one day. Maybe this would be a good place for we 2 former NewYawkers to meet. And then on to Kilwin's for dessert.

Sounds good to me!! although I have to lay off the sugar/carbs - I was just saying I wanted to find a relocated Ny'er meet up once I get down there!

When that meet up happens, we'll have to fly in bagels & pizza from NY.
I do know that when I make the trip down there by car in December, I plan to stock a big cooler with bagels. As much as I like FRESH bagels, a good bagel CAN be frozen & then toasted.
SRQ is such a great place to WALK that you can work off all those extra Carb calories!
