If you’re looking for a last-minute Spring Break destination, Tybee Island, Ga., may not be the place to go if you're on a tight budget.
Tybee Island ranks as the No. 6 most expensive destination for travelers in the United States this spring, according to the latest survey from CheapHotels.org. The survey compared all U.S. destinations based on their cost of lodging during the month of April 2015.
In Tybee Island, the easternmost point in Georgia, visitors will have to spend an average of $184 a night for the least expensive double room.

who in the world goes to Boston and Nashville for Spring Break? Hard to imagine that Tybee is more expensive than Hilton Head.

I think it might be true only because...wanting a break from Savannah in the summer, 3-4 times I drove to the HH beaches. Very favorable deals at multiple brand names hotels, beach front, at rates about $100.
For being on the beach, pool, bar, restaurant etc. I think that's a good deal.
