Tracking chips in things aren't the problem. It's what they might do if they detect the chip in your devices are not detected.

Will they fine or raise your taxes if they don't detect the chip in your fridge? Or your car? Or your washing machine, dryer, phone, computer, tv, radio... Even your clothing. And yes even in you. It may become inserted at birth. Claiming the data in your 'life chip' can save your life in a medical emergency. And of course if you want insurance.

Of course they will claim the chips prevent theft and deter crime, and prevent power outages, and whatever. And it will be illegal to disable or remove the chips. In things YOU purchased and own. This is why they don't want you OWNING anything. They want you to RENT everything. In this way you are not the owner.
That is a good point you make and quite valide IMHO. I never considered what they would do if we pull out a chip from out products. Not sure they want us to only rent products but who knows it might be a way to prevent people from removing a digital chip or physical chip. Sort of like the old iPhones that had a chip we could take out and put into another iPhone.

Similar concept with a lot of software subscriptions now, where once upon a time you just bought the software, either downloaded it or got discs, and it was yours to install and use indefinitely. Future updates were optional and small in price. With the new model you have to be connected to the internet and logged into your account in order to use the software, and you're billed monthly for it. And the monthly cost keeps going up and up because now they own you, not you owning the product. Shocking.

If you haven't been paying attention, carrying your phone around is all that is needed for any legal leash. You won't notice if you are good, but if you are bad... see how the guy on Long Island that may be a serial killer was tracked?

As for those RFID tags in garments? I used to collect them and attach them to the inner side of the front part of my belt. Alarms would go off that I had walked out with a giant parka while I was wearing a t-shirt. Security drones with their wands would scan and look in confusion. What, you bought a parka and took the device for your personal use? Uhhhhhh, dude. I PAID for it. It became mine. I get to use it like I want!

It did get amusing, all those security people wanting to inspect my crotch.
