You cannot go wrong living in any of those areas. Great schools, parks, and very family friendly.

Agreed. Just drive around the areas and see which is the most appealing, and convenient for commuting for you.

Somerset area is pretty centrally located in the metro region.
Cougar Ridge is not far from there. It's closer to Issaquah, where most "errands" shopping is.
South Cove is pretty much right at Issaquah.

I believe all are older communities. If you haven't already I'd take a look at Issaquah Highlands. It's further down I-90 from Somerset but is only a couple extra minutes drive (on the highway) from South Cove. It's a great community and is pretty new compared to the others. However, the commute down I-90 can be very stressful in the mornings (traffic) so if you are wary of that then I wouldn't recommend it. I believe Cougar Ridge is on the border between Issaquah and Bellevue school districts, while South Cove and Issaquah Highlands are in the Issaquah school district. Can't go wrong with either, they're both among the best in WA state.
