We presently live in Tumwater. I drive to Dupont and take Sound Transit Express bus to Seattle. My total one-way commute is around 1.5 hours, if the traffic is good. My boyfriend works in Belfair and drives in. We are thinking of moving to Gig Harbor/Bremerton area. I'm thinking I could drive to the Tacoma Dome and catch the Sounder train and he could take 302(?) to Belfair. Anyone have any better ideas? What about the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle? What is parking like on the Bremerton side? What are the buses like on the Seattle side?

You could live in Bremerton, he'd have about a 20 min commute and you over an hour. How far from the ferry in Seattle do you work? I would not plan on driving and then taking the bus, you have to pay to cross the bridge.

Good luck

Tony

Ferry from Bremerton to Seattle is ~50 minutes.

I agree with Tony, driving to the Tacoma dome = bad idea. It will probably increase your commute time.

I usually don't take 302 myself because it's slow and wind-y. Not to mention dangerous during the winter when the road gets slippery.
