After 34 years together, we're taking the plunge.

Planning a Christmas week wedding in Seattle and would like some advice. We have the application process down and know about ceremonies at the courthouse.

We wanted to see if there were alternatives to the court house. As we are from Texas, we have just a small number of family members and friends. I'd say under 10. Also, someone that could do the ceremony officiating. If you give really good advice, we'll invite you to join us.

Well, of course there are tons of alternatives to the courthouse. Have you checked out theknot.com? Visit the Seattle forum there for more info. than you could every use when it comes to planning a Seattle wedding! At the very least, you'll get lots of venue recommendations. Congratulations!

Congratulations and welcome! There are so many beautiful places around Seattle for a wedding including one of the islands, I bet you could rent a small section of a hotel in the winter months on maybe one of the San Juan islands or Whidbey, or you could do it at Snoqualmie Falls, Leavenworth, the options are endless. Wishing you the very best.
