does anyone have a recommendation for long distance moving company? the companies I talked too seemed shady and have bad reviews.

It depends on how much you want to spend. Graebel is good, they will pack, ship, store, deliver, etc., it would come at a cost but you could get an estimate from them and compare.

Graebel just moved us here from the east coast and they were a DISASTER. We had a horrible experience with them!

Ugh, sorry to hear that. We used them three times but it was years ago so maybe they aren't as good anymore.
