Has anyone else noticed how rampant meth production is in grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, retail shops, and apartment buildings on the Eastside? What the heck is going on? Has it always been this bad?

I'm getting really tired of smelling acetone and drain cleaner everywhere I go. I've even tasted it in food that came from in-store open food bars. It's gross.

Has anybody else noticed? I feel like I'm starting to get a complex about this. Considering that HazMat guys who do lab cleanups have to wear full suits, and all of us are walking around amid this stuff without a suit--and sometimes eating it!--it's pretty dangerous, isn't it?

The "Eastside" is a very big place… where the heck are you talking about (Kirkland, Bellevue, Issaquah, Woodinville, Maple Valley, where...)?!

Redmond and, to a lesser degree, Kirkland (on the Redmond border side).

Redmond = Meth Mecca, because its forested and full of hillbillies and Microsoft softies who need the meth jolt to survive the long working hours.
Kirkland = Heroine Mecca, because it is on the water and provides easy shipping routes from Asia drug suppliers
Bellevue = Cocaine Mecca, because it is full of rich snobby It people who have nothing better to do, but blow their money on fancy, high-end drugs..

The Eastside is a very scary place!

Very easy to verify as false, by looking at the county meth house database. A few in North Bend, and a couple in Woodinville, all in rural areas.

I went to QFC and asked for a POT roast. They had.. but not the kind you are talking about.
I went to this little Chinese restaurant and asked for Singapore Noodles with a meth sauce... Didn't get that either!

According to the list which can be found here: Illegal Drug Lab Cleanups

There are as many or more in Issaquah or Kirkland as there are in Woodinville.

Issaquah - 3
North Bend - 3
Snoqualmie - 3
Fall City - 2
Renton - 40
Kirkland - 3
Redmond - 1
Woodinville - 3 (though 98011 is really Bothell)
Duvall - 2
