Lately they hate us and our companies, and pretty much hope we all die in the largest earthquake since the dawn of time.

What gives, NY?

Jealousy, most New Yorkers would rather be living somewhere else.

Seattle is the hottest city at the moment, so journalists publish articles to draw in the most views in order to profit and survive. New Yorkers themselves don't have any jealousy.

The New York Times won't care that you cry about them publishing the truth. They pride themselves on doing just that.
The Seattle Times has a front page article today lambasting Amazon and DSHS here in Seattle. Real news reporters seek the truth. They like for their readers to know the truth. That is the entire purpose of investigative journalism. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Er, questioning a peculiar focus of one city on another isn't exactly crying. You're borderline tinfoil here.

It's kind of a nice change of pace from them barely noticing the west coast exists. The east-coast-centric nature of most of the US media can get a little annoying.
