I live in Covington south of I 90 by the way. Traffic can get better in WA by improving public transportation. All cities grow and there is nothing we can do to stop that, specially when there is a tech boom like the one here in Seattle. However, with better urban planning and public policies those two issues can be resolved (perhaps more incentives for residential builders? investing in public transportation?).

Oh and I also hate driving; I would love to be able to take the bus to work. However, there are no bus stops close to where I live.

Well it's not going to get better with a few million more people moving here. We are between mountains and water. There is only so much land available for any kind of roads or public transportation. Covington is a great area and as long as they are all moving by you, that sounds good to me. But no complaining about traffic since you like all this growth.

You know, I was going to move to Seattle until I read these posts. Now I will stay put. Way to stop the growth!

May want to reconsider the Boeing job. Their benefits are amazing and you can always look for another job later.

Too funny, I did the exact opposite--moved from Seattle to South Florida! Lived in Seattle for 27 years and had enough of the cool, cloudy climate and the traffic.
South Florida isn't perfect but I'm loving it so far (2.5 yrs and counting).
