Hi everyone! =)

New college grad over here, working at Amazon, and interested in living in Seattle (not interested in commuting from suburbs/outside Seattle to work).

What neighborhoods would you recommend I look into?

My primary concerns are:
1) Rent: I'd be willing to share an apartment/townhouse/loft and pay UP TO $2000 from my end, but really looking more towards <$1800
2) Good nightlife
3) Public transportation: Driving makes me anxious, and while I understand it's inevitable, I'd prefer to keep my driving to a minimum
4) Safe neighborhood

Also, does anyone know any good sites to look up Seattle housing or roommates?

Really? You've never heard of Craigslist? They have a housing section with sub-sections for apartments vs. houses vs. shares.

Many Amazon employees live on Queen Anne Hill or Lower Queen Anne: Safe, some areas are walkable to Amazon, good transit, decent nightlife.

Ballard. Commute to SLU on the #40 or #28.

One can figure stuff out in the internet but can't find housing without help.

Tukwila. Use the Link to Westlake.
Fremont, Wallingford, University by bike. It's about 2 miles. Draw a circle around $outh Kale ( this the location?) with appendages for transit options.

Get something ASAP. Housing for purchase is tight. I am guessing rentals will get tighter.

Eastlake!! Although I'm not sure it's in your budget. And I'm not sure about the nightlife. Gas Works Park/Fremont. Lower Queen Anne. Capital Hill.

Just a forewarning, a lot of rent prices city-wide seemed to have increased within the past month or two (especially Capitol Hill due to the opening of the light rail station).
