Might take a job (office job) at the Port of Tacoma and considering relocating to Bonney Lake. What would my commute be like. Day shift, 7:30 - 4 or 5:00 pm. Was also thinking about living in Puyallup, Sumner or Auburn area but am not liking the listed crime rates. Need a safe area, small house or condo around $250k.
Also can you tell me what it's like to work out at the Port?

It would be about 1/2 hour if you went early enough, but by 7am probably 45 minutes from Bonney Lake. Puyallup, Sumner and Auburn do have more crime but not all over, they all 3 have good areas. If not for the bridge toll, I would suggest Gig Harbor, but look at the Stadium area of Tacoma, that's a shorter commute.

Thanks Hemlock. I was figuring a 30-45 minute commute. So will need to consider my work start time which I'm hoping is 7:00 am. Also, I'm thinking there may be a vanpool I can get with, otherwise I'd prefer to drive myself.
As for the Stadium area of Tacoma, it's a little too much highrise and old house for my taste. I can't imagine living west of I-5. While a short commute is great, loving where I live is more important.

Might be able to get a condo in Puyallup for that, decent commute to the Port.
