I don't know about the curriculum, but Stadium High School in Tacoma's Stadium District has got to be one of the most beautiful and identifiable public high schools in the state if not the country with stunning views.

The building was originally supposed to be a hotel with construction beginning in 1891, but because of an economic downturn in 1893 it was abandoned and the Tacoma school district purchased it in 1904 and the school opened two years later in 1906. The school is named after the nearby Stadium bowl which is the schools football field. There were many people who gave their speeches at this stadium including Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, William Jennings Bryan, and Billy Sunday. The school was also the filming location of the 1999 movie 10 Things I Hate About You. Also the centennial celebration of Stadium High School was held on September 16, 2006 attended by 3299 alumni, setting a Guinness World Record for the largest recorded school reunion.
