I am not ashamed to be an American, but it's a simple fact: Donald Trump does not represent me nor my vision of a Great America:

An America that is educated, articulate and diplomatic, inclusive and compassionate.

An America that celebrates its diversity and respects individual freedoms..
-a woman's freedom to make her own health care choices
-any individual's freedom to love whomever they choose
-to practice any religion without fear of discrimination or persecution

An America that respects and is considerate of scientific inquiry and conclusion.. like accepting and acting upon anthropogenic climate change.

For Americans that share in a similar vision four years seems like awfully long time right now...

Good thing Trump is no spring chick.

(Keeping it Seattle-centric, to theme of the post):

Love it that Mayor Ed Murray held a "rally" at city hall excoriating a lawfully-elected federal official. Bunch of perverts, shielding illegal aliens. Thankfully, all that is rapidly coming to a close, God willing, when we finally have a DOJ that will start handing down indictment after indictment of corrupt officials and businesses, and/or shutting down federal funding. That behavior thus won't last, taxpayers won't stand for it, time is now coming nigh to cleanup the cities. Unleash the police, that will solve it in about a month. At long, LONG last.

Socialist agitators will also be out tonight, four to seven PM, at Westlake Plaza. They make about as much sense (i.e., none), when I listened carefully during the "Occupy" protests of c. winter 2012. Would be great if they make-good their threat to splinter off a third party: Socialists, Communists, whatever they call it. Put Bernie or some other coastal / fringy up there as their main man.

People in the Heartland spoke clearly this election cycle, where I grew up. At least as many well-educated, intellectual, thoughtful voters said: "Enough with the freakshow!"

It has been very divided. If you are just now noticing, you weren 't looking.

Speaking of local affairs...

Do you have any concerns about the the President-elect's previous threats against one of Seattle's most impactful high skill job creators (aka: Amazon)?

Employees are concerned.. apparently enough to voice it directly to Bezos...

Surprisingly I don't care about the wall as much as what's happening on our side of it. Illegal immigration is not something I'm particularly passionate about.

Try again.
