It is interesting that with the dry climate and nearby irrigation of the Columbia River, Eastern WA is able to pretty well mimic the viticulture of France, as well as be the second largest hops producing region in the world. Good wine and beer, I like!

i have lived in and visited a bunch of EU cities. and i have family in 3 caps.

Seattle wins in many ways due to the quality of summer.

most of the others, either get too hot, humid or can almost "miss" an entire summer.

Seattle and surrounds seem to get a solid summer every single year sure the dry sunny weather may last only 6 weeks sometimes but in this region you can plan a BBQ weeks in advance. Try that in London or Dublin and you are risking a rainout.
Paris is better but gets a bit sticky and bothersome. hot enough coastal influence to keep it hot and dry.

my view, no science or charts. In fact i was surprised they put EuroDisney where they did, i get it was for transit, but still. i would have thought Spain had some better spots, but maybe it was to get US traffic and Parisian tourists.

OneTime. The most obvious way they compare is that good beer is consumed voraciously in both places

Dublin makes Seattle look like San Diego.

Seattle gets 700 more hours of sunlight a year.

November - Jan are pretty similar in terms of sunlight hours and temperatures, but Seattle gets 150 more hours of sunlight in July and is 10 degrees F warmer. Seattle gets more sun in March than Dublin does in July.

Sounds like I'd prefer Dublin.
