I'm happy to find at least one person from Houston that prefers Seattle. Not that tough.You'll note I used the word "most", not all.

I am not sure why you think SA is dusty. Have you ever been there? Sure it's hot, but I've acclimated fine to the heat here and I spent 18 years in Seattle.

Why do I think it's dusty? Because the topography is dry and dirty. As to whether I've been there? Tons. Tons.

The difference in comfort level is significant based upon the lack of extremes in Seattle's case. It's not a difficult concept really. SA has 7 months a year where the average high is above 80. And 4 are above 90.

Seattle has 2 months above 70 and zero above 80.

I've spent time in both SA and Houston in the summer and Houston feels much more humid than SA.

That's because it is. No one suggested otherwise. But it's still oppressively hot.
