Hello,
After living here for three years here is my opinion. Everyone complains about living in Seattle unless they have grown up here or are 30+ with a mate or family and a busy yuppie lifestyle. There is always an overcast and the Sun rarely peaks through the 9 month constant overcast and drizzling rain. Summer is overrated here yes its blue and green whooptie doooo. The nightlife in Seattle is very depressing and gets old very quickly. You want to know what its like to date in Seattle? Woman in Seattle are not woman. The good ones that move here move away quickly. Your best bet is to meet a woman that just moved to Seattle and stick with her. Then again your best bet is to get the hell out of dodge. Socially the city is one of the toughest places to live. Do not move here solo. Be expected to be told to sit down at sporting events. Noone here really likes the sport teams here. The city of Seattle should sell the sport teams and spend that money on actually developing the city. They should also keep the viaduct and stop bitching about it and spend the money on other stuff. Seattle drivers are the worst. The speed limit on the freeways are 60 but people drive 50 on the left hand lanes. People will be timid to change lanes without you completely stopping your car and letting them in. When you are driving on the side streets it is best to expect that noone knows where they are going remember to think that they may be looking for an address or are simply lost. This will cut back on your road rage. Plan to get at least a few parking tickets in the city. You will get tired of Seattle very quickly. Be prepared to get addicted to coffee or energy drinks here, you will need it to stay awake. Your tiredness and lack of energy is not AIDS its Seattle. |

Sad but true. Where'd you move to Seattle from? There are definitely people that will fit in your social circle but finding them is tougher around here. Don't move here if you're a single guy in your late 20's early 30's, we have enough of those!

I totally agree too
Now try being in your early 30's, with kids! And stuck in your house all day, everyday because it's too damn cold to take your kid to the park... Talk about lonely and isolating |

It's not THAT cold outside, just rainy/drizzly. I think it's the worst when the sky is gray and overcast. Best time to watch a great movie.
It's sunny today though! |
