Hi all!

I am taking 3 teenage boys 13 to 17 with me from northern California to explore Portland, Seattle then coastal areas in WA, OR and northern California including Redwood National Park.

We all never been to Oregon and Washington states!

I found a city pass that cost $59 per person which includes all of the following attractions:

-Space Needle
-Seattle Aquarium
-Argosy Cruise (1 hour cruise)
-Pacific Science Center
-Woodland Park Zoo
-The Museum of Flight

Are they worth it?

Is there any other attractions I should consider?

Is the drive down Washington Coast good?

Thanks in Advance!

Those are definitely good choices. Also include GameWorks for the boys to have their individual fun time. You should definitely check out Pike Place Market. We also have the Seattle Art Museum, if you're inclined.

Don't eat the food @ Space Needle-- you're paying more for the view rather than the food (yech!).

That's a really good deal! Where did you find that pass?? lol. Maybe we would get out more ha. No really, your getting a steal, don't forget to go to Pike Place Market and hop on over to the waterfront and stroll around to Ye Ol Curiosity shop, there is also Pirates Plunder down there and they are both near the aquarium so when you visit the aquarium that would be a good time to take a stroll. (It's to the left if you are facing the water). Red Robin is a good place to eat, affordable for a family and right on the water near the shops. (It is also next to argosy cruises, so that would be a good time to stop by there as well). Seattle is a fun town when its not rainy, dark and cloudy....so 5 days a year. lol

The Duck Tour always looks like fun. It starts near the Space Needle.

First, you should know that the exhibits you listed are not all located in the same parts of Seattle; you'd have to do a lot of driving, so you'd probably only have time/energy to do a few of the exhibits.

Overall, it will just depend on what they naturally enjoy doing. If they're into music, I'd definitely do EMP. If they like science centers, then Pacific Science Center. The zoo and aquarium are fun enough, but neither have especially outstanding exhibits, so I'd only do those if the kids are interested in them. The cruise would probably be boring for them. Instead you could just do a walk on to the Seattle-Bainbridge Ferry--it's a 30 minute ride each way. Or you could drive on to the ferry, though it's kind of pricey. Game Works in Seattle is fun enough for an hour or 2, and they have a restaurant in there that's decent. You might check online and see if they have any specials--play for 1 or 2 hours plus have lunch in the restaurant for a single, lower price.

The duck tour (Ride the Ducks) can be boring for the older teens, so you might want to avoid it.

As for driving along the coast, I'd do the California to Oregon coastal drive. Once I got to WA, I'd get on to the interstate since the WA coast is not very scenic.
