Many Real Estate are a lot more flexible than you might think.

Agents need to make a living, the average Agent in the USA closes on about 7 deals a year. Many get much less.

Thus they will do a lot of fringe things to keep the ball rolling.

assist finding rental for a fee.

Assist with FSBO for a flat fee.
Act as "honest broker" to assist parties reaching terms.

Provide and assist with contracts and or closing at escrow..

Show homes to buyers.

Assist investors looking to become landlords. show them the ropes, help them determine what is and is not a good rental property etc.

Some RE agents are really just sales people who focus on finding and binding clients, they often know nothing outside of that. Others are part timers who hardly know what they are doing and rely on the brokerage rather heavily.

But others are true business people who make deals, develop properties and have many fingers in many pies. These are the ones that make you money and they are sometimes the ones you have to keep a close eye on. They are almost always the people you want to deal with.

It's good to know there are agents like that out there, but how do you identify them? Just contact them and ask?

Default There are real estate brokers who help people rent!

There are real estate brokers in the Seattle area who help people find places to rent. Most don't but some do, depending on how busy they are. One way to find out is to call local real estate offices and ask if they have anyone on their team that specializes in renters. Should me a DM or phone call and I would be happy to share some names with you.

Default Try Windemere?

I am in the same boat! I saw that this agency has its own property management arm, so the agents that have rental listings will be up on what is available and maybe even what is coming up. I am looking by myself on Hotpads and have search alerts set up to send me new listings. It is a really tough and expensive market. Good luck!

Some RE brokerage houses have a property management division. Those would be the ones to contact. McPherson's, in Seattle, has that dual function, to name one.
