Go big or go home! Here's the latest UCCV - Urban Combat Commuter Vehicle. It's only about a half million.

You could always go with the poor mans armor and a pickup. Bolt some 3/8" steel plate behind the cab and inside the doors. And mount some plexiglas panels behind the windows. (I don't know how thick it needs to be).

It won't look pretty but it will (well might) work. Until you drive over an IED or a mob simply over turns you car.

I want one of those cars that has flames that shoot out from the doors if someone tries to get in.

And caltrops. If you are being chased in a mad max dystopian world (like a Saturday night in Chicago for example) having a box of caltrops you could dump on the road to stop persuers would be good. Just don't forget and turn around...

I like your style

I think you are being a little facetious but ...

I stepped outside my RV door on a New Years eve afternoon, heard 9 loud pops about 1/4 mile away, looked at my partner and we both ducked for cover.
About a 50 count later all 9 came down in the car junkyard next door. We heard everyone land less than 100' feet away.

Needless to say I bolted a 1/4" inch rectangle plate above my bunk after that. Messed up the interior a little bit but it gave me a piece of mind that I still enjoy today.
