I would assume that everyone here is in some context focused on 'Self-Sufficiency and Preparedness'.

We are not urbanites or suburbanites.

The concern for what happens to city folk, is likely a primary motivator behind why every poster in this sub-forum left city life far behind us.

I agree that when the grid goes down in a city, those urbanites will be screwed.
When trucks stop hauling food into the cities, urbanites will go hungry.
And all of that is off-topic in this sub-forum.
Ah ha the guy who has been prepping for years mindset and thinks newbies dont need helpful "kick in the ***" information to get started prepping....

So who is crying about what will happen amongst the non-preppers?

On a prepping sub-forum.

Preppers get a twisted sense of superiority from being able to actually use everything they have saved and planned for, non-preppers like to call disasters "once in a lifetime" events, though we seem to have one type or another reliably every 10 years.

Once in a lifetime is right, because you won't survive the first to see the next.

WE found one. Superiority complex..

If one non prepper comes across this section and does something to help his family, I consider it a win.

Yep! The only dumb question is one that isn't asked. Most of us are here to learn.

Assuming this cyber attack also takes out social media, the pros might outweigh the cons.

Im an Urbanite, and based on my stash of Kodiak Pancake Mix alone, I will last a couple of months without refrigeration. Heck, Im good for at least a year, and that includes vitamins.

Now that CORONA (666) isn't working looks like they have plans to pull the power for the great culling? I saw a comment saying that's exactly why they want people getting frozen foods because they will be no good when the power goes out.

Get Prepped and get ready.
Can you please tell us who "they" are and what this "great culling" is that you speak of?!! (Do you really have no clue how insane that sounds? )

I see so many posts that talk about "THEM" ... but they never say who "THEY" are, exactly. Weird that they wouldn't know.

If the OP's of such threads could actually TELL us who "THEY" are, then we might be able to have a conversation, but apparently that is too much to ask.

It only sounds insane to those who do not believe it.
(Frankly, it only sounds insane to a small minority of those who do not believe it.)

They and Them isn't really difficult, as a concept, though it can be hard to explain to someone new to the idea. Combine "Global Elite" with "Deep State" and you begin to see the picture. The whole thing is a bit more complicated, thus the short hand reference.

The "Great Culling" is a theory that says "They" feel there are too many people for the planet to sustain, so "They" are planning to reduce our numbers by some percent. Usually, adherents to this theory expect to see between 70% and 98% reduction. Often this theory is combined with some expectation of eugenics to insure the remaining herd is of better than average stock.

I understand the first idea completely.
I understand, but don't agree with, the second one.
