Is this a good idea? I'm speaking mainly about jewels from Thailand. Are these these well-priced jewels, of reasonably good quality? Or are they the 'Jewel World' equivalent of the otherwise-unsellable Rolls Royces which flood Ebay?

Would I be avoiding the notorious 300% Jeweler's Markup, by buying direct from Thailand? Or, would I simply be getting the 'un-adoptable orphans' of the Jewel World?

Has anyone bought from these sellers, then had the jewels appraised?

Are the 'lab created' jewels (emeralds, rubies, sapphires, sphenes..) real? Or are they just colored glass?

I'm very interested in your personal experiences.

I see quite a few 'investment grade' jewels which look scrumptious, and just wonder if I'd be a fool to consider them. Do the better sellers offer a good product? Or are ebay jewels pretty-much consistently a fool's paradise?

I have purchased stones from Thailand on ebay in the past with no worries, and no issues.

In fact I have made a pretty good chunk of change in the past from them as well.

Just make sure to go with a reputable seller with good reps.
