Portable Clothes Dryers (purchase, repair, used, websites)

Have any posters used and/or purchased a portable clothes dryer?


My clothes dryer died in Feb. and I don't want to replace it with another full-sized one. Live alone, so a neighbor recommended looking for a portable electric dryer.


I checked a few websites and discovered that Bed Bath & Beyond and Wayfair carry this item. Know nothing about it. How effective is it for drying? What about ventilation, etc?

What do you mean "died"?


There is very little in an electric dryer. Some heating elements, a motor to turn the drum and spin the fan, and a control panel. It's mostly sheet metal and open space. It's hard for me to imagine what could render an electric dryer unrepairable.
