Hello,

I drink tea on regular basis sometimes starbucks or instant coffee, but doesn't suit my body since I add milk/creamer to it and that kind of affects my digestive system. Can't drink black coffee...

Anyways, visited Hawaii recently and fell in love with their Kona coffee. Seems like Kona is low in acid and hence didn't my body adjusted pretty well to it.

Got some grounded coffee and whole beans too, but confused if I should buy pour over coffee maker or french press from Amazon.

Coffee lovers out there, what do you prefer and what's the difference based on taste and texture?

Thanks in advance!

I also like Kona, and have a bag of beans that I grind myself. I also like Lavazza, and get that at Costco. You will find that the French Press coffee leaves a bit of fine particle residue at the bottom of the cup, and while the flavor is richer, the pour-over coffee with a paper filter is smoother and leaves no residue. I don't like pour-over because it takes so long, and by the time it's all through the filter it's no longer as hot as I like it. One compromise is a pour-over system with the washable gold filter, smoother than French Press but less residue, and faster than a paper filter.

Regardless of anyone's findings I am deeply convinced that AeroPress is the best. Obviously one doesn't need showy gadgets to make best coffee.

I have tried them all, and pour over is hands down the best as far as I'm concerned. Been using that method for years, now.

I have my own method. Boil water in a Pyrex cup in the microwave, add ground coffee and stir and let sit for a few minutes, then pour through a paper filter.
