So, I'm a bit of a coffee snob. I am a fan of both espresso and pour over.

I just got back from San Francisco, and there's a local joint out there named "Philz Coffee" that does outstanding pour over. Is there a place like that here?

Up in Vancouver, BC there was a place called Caffe Artigiano that made divine lattes. I mean, competition-class stuff. Flawless extractions coupled with the creamiest frothing you'd ever had.

Do we have any places like this in TB?

Sips off Gunn hwy is probably my favorite. The Library Coffeehouse in S Tampa is good too, but they're hours aren't... Overall the coffee shop scene is pretty disappointing, hopefully it will improve in years to come.

I like Buddy Brew. Having some of their coffee inside Oxford Exchange is a pleasant experience.

I'm also assuming that somewhere in Ybor City does coffee pretty well but I can't say that for sure.

I'm definitely not a coffee expert though, so my assessment of BB may not be worth a lot.

That roaster in ybor, that has to be one. Long ash cigars I recall has real good coffee, so does King corona.

My wife likes the library as well, I never been there, there is a place on el prado and Manhattan, southeast corner that is pretty good. Tampa does have some good Cuban cafe con leche, espresso plus steamed milk. Teresita on Columbus has the best by far , La Florida bakery a block west from Teresita also good. Lots of Vietnamese restaurants on Pinellas, Pho Quyen on Park, Vietnamese coffee is espresso or a French press depending on the place poured over condensed milk with ice.

There's a vending machine in our break room on the fourth floor of my office building that drops a good cup.. Seriously nobody has mentioned WAWA's, I like their dark roast when I feel like splurging.

Hehe - the best "pour-over" is what I make right at home, and it's dirt cheap. I just use my Melitta cone and frind some organic beans - I particularly love Publix organic Columbian. There really is no coffee that I think is better than that..
