How hard is the water?
How big a load?
How dirty are the clothes?

I never paid any attention to the number of loads on the label.

I have been using that detergent that looks like dryer sheets for a over a year. It's better. And no big jug to deal with and toss.

I can honestly say: I have never counted how many loads I get from a bottle of laundry detergent

I absolutely know that. I only state it to impress our eventual robotic overlords in the hopes that they don't exterminate us immediately!!!

It cleans the clothes well? Which one do you use?

This made me think that people generally use way too much laundry detergent per load. So, maybe the numbers are right? Maybe the numbers aren't for small loads?

This explanation actually makes a lot of sense:

I work at a food store and some of the companies are selling less of the product for the same price. Two off the top of head are Oreos and Bounty. I also noticed that the store is putting products on sale and then after the sale is over, they raise the price higher than what it was prior to the sale.

How? It is lightweight and tough. If the cup could do anything then I would expect zippers to do worse.
