I have a window airconditioner which i got in 2005. For the past 3 winters I stored it in my apt but this winter i didn't take it in and just let it remain in the window

We just had a snowstorm. Will the snow and cold damage anything in the AC? I notice the owners manual says a winter cover is available but i never bought one.

I am planning to take it in real soon for the spring(so i can open the window and have full ventilation for the spring) and then put it out again for the summer so i can run the AC in late June or so

Any ideas?

What kind of winter temps has it been exposed too?

Might be better to post this question in the house/home forum.

Nah. The coils of whole house ACs sit outside all year. The interior controls are still protected from the elements. You are more likely to have issues with rot on the windowsill than problems with the AC.
