I've read Thoreau, have you? His philophy was to live without material things, to abstain from a life in which people are (quote from him here) “employed, as it says in an old book, laying up treasures which moth and rust will corrupt and thieves break through and steal.”
Doesn't seem to promote the stealing of material things, or promoting the act of stealing, or the acts of theives, to me. Does it to you?
