I've heard from reliable sources (DM me if you want info ) that Costco has officially committed to building a store on the east side of Sioux Falls. The store will be open within 1 1/2 years.
I'm not sure on the specific location, but I'm guessing the Dawley Farm Village shopping district.

This is very interesting. I have not been to a Costco, but have heard good things. It would be a good addition to Sioux Falls. I am sure that if the confirm a site and get a deal finalized that Argus Leader and KELO would jump all over the story like with Target and Kohls going into Dawley Farm.

Yes, Sioux Falls has two of them and both are SuperWal-Marts. The vast majority of communities over 7,000 or so people have Wal-Marts in this part of the country.

Super-Walmarts are great. Food prices there compared to strictly grocery stores, at least here in Florida, are significantly lower in most cases. Lacks a selective deli, but the prices are good.

Uncle worked at Costco, stopped working there, but has kept shopping there. He loves it.

Super Walmart has great prices for groceries...but I will never buy any type of meat there.
I purchased some ground beef there...Even after hearing about the weird chemical process they use.
It tasted horrible. I could distinctly taste a weird taste.

Depends on what I'm shopping for. Walmart's "quality" is not always compairable. you get what you pay for.
And it also depends on WHICH Walmart you shop at. No way Huron's Walmart has the "selection" Mitchell's does.....but Huiron's Kmart doesn't compair to Mitchell's Kmart, either.....
