Neither would go down if it happened. Celtic are strong enough to do well as it is and youre presuming each team would have its current squad. There would be millions invested into both teams for squads if they suddenly were in the BPL. Sponsors would be crawling out the woodwork for something as historic as the Old Firm in the BPL.
Even if they joined, there wouldn't an Old Firm for years in the Premier League. They would have to start at the very bottom of English football and make their way up. A lot of players would leave in that space of time anyway.
Also, I cant see them doing anything in the Premier League. At least in Scotland Celtic are winning the league and getting into the Champions League. Cant see them finishing any higher than mid table in the Premier League and no Europe.
No I mean that when they join the PL after being in the lower leagues, they will have a worse team for a few years. First few years in the Prem will see them flirting with relegation I think. People need to remember that once you make the PL, its even harder staying in it.
Theyd have millions pumped into em, no way theyd be hovering above relegation. Irish gob****es will be throwing money at Celtic as will bigots who love Rangers.
both are petty ( ish ) insular type teams who would become insignificant in the global premier league , teams like celtic and rangers are big fish in a small pond and that's probably how they and their supporters like it
They would have millions thrown at them but it wont mean anything when they first get promoted. World class players wont go to a just promoted team. They would need at least a season in the league and stay up to start building a dominant PL team.
Having millions thrown at you is not always a good thing. QPR are the best example. They are screwed now that they went down and have a squad on Premier League wages. Stability will be needed by Celtic and Rangers first.

rangers and celtic have a larger support base than the majority of teams in the EPL , I don't think either would have a problem attracting sugar daddys
I'm not saying they wont attract a sugar daddy. I'm saying that they wont be signing world class players in their first season in the league. Also, if they did, it doesn't secure their survival.
They would only have to sign better players than 3 teams.
