at least in the past 25 years I don't remember any World Cup draw resulting in groups with "open spots" for still undefined teams

Pot 4 has the remaining playoff teams.

I'm tempted to say that Canada belongs in Pot #2 and the US in Pot #3 based on recent results, but so it goes.

Things are looking easy for England this year...

No real "group of death" this year, as far as I can tell. The closest looks to be group E. Most of the groups seem fairly balanced. It should be a fun group stage.

Canada were always going to face a challenge but if we can scrape a draw against Croatia and beat Morocco we will be Ok, wishful thinking I know but i have to have hope
