CHS is probably more liberal than anywhere else in the state.

As a conservative, that doesn't bother me.

If only SCOTUS would enforce the 14th Amendment (equal protection) and strike down "affirmative action" (negative action for me since I look like the Founders).

The coast of SC is nothing like it was when you left. It is chock a block with houses and the population triples in the Summer. Traffic is a nightmare and there so many people.

Duke Power is now Duke Energy and have built nuclear reactors in pristine Oconee county and on Lake Wylie 15 miles from Charlotte.

So things have changed, however there are areas that time forgot and not everyone that lives in SC is a member of the Tea Party, especially in Charleston and University towns.
