So what are the dishes/food orders that you would order in other places that are particular to here?

For example, Cole slaw on hot dogs is awesome and I can't imagine ever doing without. So if I am back in NY for whatever reason, you can guarantee, my hotdogs will have Cole slaw.

THey wouldn't have some of these, but here are
some of my favorites that I cook, myself, down here that
I LOVE,
Sausage gravy with southern homestyle biscuts,
Chicken Bog (with hot sauce of course)
and SC gold rice with saffron. Actual rice grown here.
I also love Waffle House grits, cheese and egg bowl.
Something about the way they make their grits, they are creamy
not lumpy like my mom used to make.

When I have breakfast I like grits and eggs and I am always offered hash browns when we travel out of the south and no I don't want cream of wheat. Just my grits.

I am more interested in local food. Anything I miss from here (darn little actually), I can get when I return home.
