Looking to raise young family (York: crime, new home, buy)

I live in Long Island New York and I am on the verge of retirement. I have young children and I'm looking for a better lifestyle to raise my children. I want a city/town that offers good schools, crime is low, and amenities. Possibly a community that has a pool and park for kids. We are approx 15 minutes from ocean now and are hoping be that close in SC. so please any feedback to help me thanks. I'm looking to spend approx 325 for a new home.

You won't get 15 minutes to the ocean for 325, but 325 can buy a nice home 35 mins from the ocean!

James island outside of charleston is probably best for your needs. But traffic is pretty bad there

I'm looking anywhere along the coast, i think i would like to be within hour vicinity of airport, but most important are schools, and crime
