It's surreal. I was down on our guys at the end of the regular season but they've been a blast to watch lately. I've told everyone that if we can get our offense going, along with our tough defense, then we're a near elite team. Now we're in the Elite 8 and s%*# is gonna get real with the likes of Florida, UNC, Kansas and Gonzaga still around.
Florida and Wisconsin are both tough, but both beatable. I don't want to get cocky and jinx anything so I guess we'll just see what happens on Sunday. Anyone's game. Though wow, if this team lands in the Final 4...
And I just want to have fun with this: it's unlikely, I mean look at Kansas, but just imagine if USC was able to win the championship.

Got to love the heart from the team and the staff and the loud, passionate fans. Man those fans who went to the games in NYC sure got a treat this weekend. Next up, Phoenix!

We lived in SC when Martin was hired, i knew they landed a good coach that could do some nice things if given the time and support. Plenty of our neighbors and friends in SC didnt care much for anything except FB and BB (esp after the champ run) at the time so hopefully they are on board now.
I know how exciting a Final Four run can be, it is great not only for the school and alumni but the state as well. And with my Badgers no longer in it, I'll be rooting for the Gamecocks to keep rolling. After all, my brackets been done for a bit now lol.
Congrats to the Gamecocks! My bracket is pretty much shot anyways so I can't help but want to see them pull this out and sweep the major college national championships.
Not to mention Irmo native and Myrtle Beach resident Dustin Johnson is ranked as the #1 golfer in the world and just won the WGC Match Play this past weekend where Greenville native Bill Haas also performed well.
SC is looking pretty darn good in the sports world!
