we have live down here for 3 1/2 years and i haven't been bit by anything but fire ants. most of the spiders i have seen outside aren't in well traveled areas. i spend alot of time in my garage and i have only seen a few. you just have to be vigilant about where you put ur hands. i read that if you can't see ur finger tips grabbing for something than u should where gloves. i do all the time and make sure you keep ur gloves somewhere safe. mine stay locked up in a tool box.
speaking of blackwidows, i killed two off my pool today. one thing i can say is they really like water or wet areas. no worries though, while i'm on blackwidow patrol....LOL
Well now I am tip-toeing around and looking into glove fingers.
I do a lot of the yard work around here. In fact the President of this community walked by last night and told my husband how he liked the new stonework........Hubbies reply: " Well, glad that I have a wife!"
