Where I am at not a lot. It was 40 degree today. There is more the further east you head. The snow base at terry peak is 24". There is more snow the further east you head.
What about wind storms? Are there many in the south west areas of SD? I read there are pockets in areas that break the rules and weather is very different. Is there open areas around the Mt base or do the hills fill the south western parts of the state?
There are tornados and straight line winds from time to time. The storms that cause all sorts of damage are straight line winds from a thunderstorm.
We don't have the same winds like those on the eastside of the Rocky's
The trailer thing is mostly preference. Perhaps it responding to trailer house fires... Maybe it layout and construction... Maybe it is the feeling that it is not as solid... I really don't know. I like my little house.

Depends on the lot. Acreages with doublewides can run 150k up to 200k. Simple decent home runs 30k up. Decent house runs about 90k up.
