Is there snow on the ground all winter, for the most part, in all of SD?

What about wind storms? Are there many in the south west areas of SD? I read there are pockets in areas that break the rules and weather is very different. Is there open areas around the Mt base or do the hills fill the south western parts of the state?

There are tornados and straight line winds from time to time. The storms that cause all sorts of damage are straight line winds from a thunderstorm.

We don't have the same winds like those on the eastside of the Rocky's

The trailer thing is mostly preference. Perhaps it responding to trailer house fires... Maybe it layout and construction... Maybe it is the feeling that it is not as solid... I really don't know. I like my little house.

Yup. Had I kept the trailer I would have had it paid off a year ago. And the land last fall.

I have made the joke more than once about a South Dakota divorce and a tornado.

Sorry to hear times were hard. The future is always bright if you keep your focus on the horizon. About how much does a trailer and lot sell for near in south western SD near a city?

Depends on the lot. Acreages with doublewides can run 150k up to 200k. Simple decent home runs 30k up. Decent house runs about 90k up.
