If you check out your local paper, you should see an article in it talking about health insurance. I imagine that most of us have it through out employer, but for anyone who is insured through a private company, good news may be on the way.

Two insurance companies~I'm not familiar with one of them, BUT Blue Cross is the other~they no longer plan on charging higher rates or penalizing people who have previous health problems. They do plan on charging according to age and family size.

The news story goes on to say that the insurance companies are worried about the competition that national healthcare would bring so they're looking at remaining competitive.

Blue Cross is a huge provider in our state so if anyone is insured with them, it's worth checking in to.

Me too - through work, wonder if my premiums will go down or if they'll adjust the pre-existing clause.

I'm not sure if this will affect you if you have it through group insurance, but I could be wrong. It sounded more like a situation where people go out and buy it on there own. Since pre-existing conditions aren't considered through group insurance as long as you can show proof of continuance insurance with another company for one straight year, I don't think it'll change the premiums in that respect.
