Is it just me or have most events in Spokane lacked the advertisement of years past? Thing keep popping up around Spokane, and they dont seem to be advertising.

Maybe things have just gone more viral than the good ol' Inlander ad.

i totally agree with you...........spokane does not advertise it's events very well and this i put on the local newspaper! it is the worst newspaper of any city anywhere near this size that i've lived. i even called them and made a suggestion on inproving community service listings such as volunteer activies and local events and they just blew me off. i found that so many things where happening in the area but never make it into the newspaper. guess if someones not paying for it then they (at the newspaper) don't give a damn about getting the word out. so basically you just have to do a google search for what you're interested in and see if there's a local organization with a website that you can learn about their activies. I haven't found a one-stop clearing house for local organizations or events, like "The Stranger" in Seattle has. the city website list the major events, but that's about it. everyone else is on their own. there's a few websites for outdoor markets for the area, which is good though.......
