Hello all,
My husband would like to retire and I would like to work less or maybe just have a job with fewer responsibilities, including not carrying a work cell phone 24/7. How little can we spend on a house to be in a decent area with a decent house. We are currently in a PHX suburb and live in a house that is really larger than we need and we're willing to give up some of the current niceties in this house for a lower price. We need a minimum of a 2 bedroom and I see houses in the low $100,000s, but am unfamiliar with the neighborhoods. Also, we need a garage (currently have 3 car, but think we could downsize). We would like 4 seasons and I see many houses in the low to mid $200,000s, but the less we spend the less I work. Also, for an avid motorcyclist, is the riding good? We lived in a mid-Atlantic state and DH was able to ride much of the year. PHX is too hot for him Thoughts? Suggestions?
