Looks like I have secured a place near the address in the title. The cross streets are S. geiger blvd and W. pilot Drive.

ANYONE with any comments on what type of area this is to live in PLEASE chime in. Safety, store access, things to do, transit......etc, etc, etc.

So many places in Spokane want a 1 year or 9 month lease............nope, sorry. I mean, if you run a good place I will stay for quite a while.......IF YOU RUN A GOOD PLACE. So many scams in the apartment industry..........OH YEAH SURE, WE KICK OUT NOISY DRUNKS RIGHT AWAY.........OH YEAH, WE DON'T LET PEOPLE SCREAM OR BLARE THEIR MUSIC TURNED ALL THE WAY UP.

THANKS!

Lucky you.

There's Rosauers downtown (grocery store), it's the closest one to you, it's where I had to do my grocery shopping. Wal-Mart is in Airway Heights.

I hope you like airplanes. There might be buses that come by every now and then, but keep in mind, you really aren't in the city.

Yeah Geiger is the name of our airport and Pilot is well, you know. It might be a little noisy there

So, how many feet in the air are the planes when they pass over Geiger????
And does the airport have a curfew of any sort.

I lived in Seattle at the end of Boeing Field......wow, they took off all the time....right over my roof, and industrial train tracks were across the block.........yikes.

The main runways run parallel to Geiger, so I guess it might sound like they're coming into your living room? But, it probably isn't that bad.

GEG gets quiet around midnight, remember, this isn't some bustling metropolis we're talking about here.

I personally wouldn't want to make the bike ride down Sunset into town. IMO it can be too scary of a road (narrow shoulders, even with 4 lanes).

But look at what you'd get to ride through:

3600 W Sunset Blvd, Spokane, WA - Google Maps

Thanks a lot for the helpful information. 5 miles to town, not too bad. Looks like the bus runs once an hours, 30 minutes into downtown.

Yeah, riding a bike on that roadway will be a little scary.....I would kinda expect a Papa Jupiter type character to jump out of those woods.

Tickyul, you are so in luck! Here's a photo of your new neighbor -- the Spokane Regional Solid Waste Disposal Plant -- locted at 2900 S. Geiger Blvd!

Just remember to keep your lawn waste separate from the other burnables.

In all seriousness, though it's really not such a bad area. As long as the wind is blowing from the southwest, which it usually is.

Don't mean to laugh, but hey -- damn, dude....

The home of my old VHS tapes, an old boombox, furniture, and trash that wouldn't fit in my can.

No biggie, I am a nonsmoker living in a building with about 95% smokers, the building just reeks like an ashtray, burns my sinuses. I get woken up by filthy ciggie smoke wafting into my open window.
