It's Tourney time and CBS has it's old standby theme (although it doesn't sound as good as the one from the 90s).

(sorry for bad quality)

Was wondering what people's favorite theme music for their sports coverage was.

I really like ESPN's upgrade of the college football theme. New visual design kicks butt too.

But for those who remember the 90s, I think everyone can remember and give props to this.

I can't view or link youtube from work but the NBA on NBC from the 90s is awesome, and so is the Wimbdeldon opening on NBC. Ill link them when I get home tonight.

NBA on NBC's theme from the 90's was composed by John Tesh, it is called Roundball Rock. I could listen to that all day long, over and over.

No other sports coverage music comes close to the level of awesome of Roundball Rock IMO.

The classic

I also liked the endless loop that would play in the background as Howard Cosell would narrate Halftime Highlights on Monday Night Football in the 1970s.

I know old heads like the original but I think the new MNF music is BOSS. Bigger, badder and more fun.

However, I like the original SNF football music best. Operatic classical ochestration is epic enough on it's own, don't need to "jazz it up".

Man, thanks for bringing back those memories! I was really young then, but I still loved it!
