I have been to Branson a few times as I have a friend who is an entertainer who performed there and I always enjoyed my visits.

Was just watching the devastation to the area from the tornadoes on CNN.

Prayers, heartfelt condolences to the families of those that were lost, and best wishes to you all.

I am just across the way from Branson. Right now they aren't letting anyone into the damaged area's. We are gearing up to help our neighbors though. As soon as it is possible to get in, we are ready to lend a hand.

There appears to be the confirmed death of a woman in Buffalo (N. of Branson) where a tornado hit a trailer park.

This is a good time for everyone to brush up on their family tornado shelter plans/provisions, emergency alert radios, first aid kits and home tornado drills.

Thoughts and prayers to those significantly effected by this morning's destructive storms. We were much luckier than Illinois, this time.

ETA: Casualty count is up to three.

These storms definitely caught everyone off guard. The tornado that hit the Kansas town here didn't even have a warning with it, so there was nothing anyone could do. The storms were moving very fast and I think people underestimated them in that sense. Thankfully there was enough warning in Branson and people there were at least somewhat prepared. Could have been much worse. Hopefully this weather system does get people prepared, because unfortunately, this is only the beginning of the storm season.

Being down on a lake shore, we seemed, once again, to be out of harm's way. Welcome to the Tri-Lakes area of the Aux Arcs. We serve excitement.

I'm in SPFD, so I'm okay.....and as far as I know, no one died in Branson. Just minor injuries and damage to buildings.
