Am I the only one who thinks opening the Washington County Fair the evening before the first day of school is a really bad idea?? My teaching and parenting days are over, but from both viewpoints holding the fair last week would have been more fun for families and easier for teachers. Just my $.02 worth.

Nope I completely agree. I think many people are still out of town up until this week, so that would be my guess as to the reasoning. Still, it is very poor timing.
