Hi,

I'm moving from abroad to St. Louis for 9 months in August. I have been searching for an apartment on internet, and found some interesting ones.

Does any of you have personal experience on these:

Fairmont, Monticello, Park 44, Park Lane?

Thanks !

I have no knowlege of those apt buildings but you're looking in an awesome neighborhood. The CWE is the premiere cosmopolitan neighborhood in St. Louis.

Default Park44

Just moved out of CWE to Clayton for various reasons, one of them being the continual sirens from the ambulances going to Barnes from Lindel and Kingshighway. So the first piece of advice is to find somewhere at least a block away from theses two roads and ideally not close to an intersection. They blare their horns at every intersection throughout the night. Helicopters can be a problem too but I found I got used to them. Wherever you go make sure the windows are double glazed and good quality.

We tried to move to Parkway 44 because of the location, the management, covered parking (don't street park!) and the rent which is reasonable for CWE - which can be expensive - but they didn't have an apartment free to suit our timeframe.

I don't know the other properties you mentioned.

Good Luck

Lived in Park Lane for a year. Really enjoyed it. Apartments are average, but location is great. No diswashers and a/c is window units. Fun place though.
